From LLNYC’s Look at Listings: This triplex penthouse, crowning the top three floors of the Pierre Hotel, has a rather storied history. In 2013, Barbara Zweig, the widow of the late hedge-fund manager Martin Zweig, put the 16-room co-op on the market for the $125 million. By December that year, the price was cut down to $95 million. Then in January 2015, it was chopped again to $63 million.

Undeterred, Zweig took it off the market, gave it a hell of a face-lift. It was back on the market soon after, asking $57 million. [more]
