For anyone who likes to farm like Madonna (i.e. buys farmland for the tax break), we present you with the perfect car: the new X-Class pick up truck from none other than Mercedes Benz.
Yes, the concept of a Mercedes pick up is kind of ridiculous, and so are the buyers the company is targeting, which include: “families with an active lifestyle and an affinity to premium products,” “successful adventurers, who live in an urban environment and participate in outdoor sports such as skiing or riding jet skis, or have their own boat” and “Landowners, such as cattle ranchers in Argentina, soy bean farmers in Brazil or vintners in South Africa, [who] also use their pickup for commercial and private purposes.”
No, none of those groups sound like New Yorkers, and indeed there is no launch date for the car to come to the United States (it will first launch in Europe at the end of 2017, then South Africa and Latin America). If you can’t wait to get your hands on one of these “stylish explorers,” you better get your paperwork in order to import one!
