The 62nd Viennese Opera Ball’s co-chairs hosted a private champagne reception at The Penn Club last week to raise funds for the forthcoming ball at the Waldorf Astoria.

The Viennese Opera Ball is the oldest white tie charity gala in New York, and this year the Ball will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Austria’s unofficial national anthem, Johann Strauss’ Blue Danube Waltz.

Co-charis Silvia Frieser and Michael Pecnik and executive committee member Laine Siklos hosted the reception. Attendees included: Eva Chickering, Georg Heindl, Rachel Hickey, Wina Huang, Steven Knobel, Ulrich Kopetzki, Leah Lane, Deborah Levine, Maggie Norris Nicole Noonan, Elif Menet, Cole Rumbough, Maja Sponring, Allie Sutherland, Eva Trenker and Christian Von Uffel.

At the February ball over 700 guests are expected to attend to watch 16 debutantes and their white-tie clad escorts. Tickets can be bought here.
