Storefront hosted a Halloween party with a luxury twist: PHOTOS
Storefront for Art and Architecture hosted their annual “Critical Halloween” party on Saturday night, and this year’s event took place at the United Palace in Washington Heights. The theme was “Critical Luxury,” and guests were encouraged to use their costumes “to denounce obsolete definitions of luxury in art, architecture, and design, and to redefine its possibilities in shaping the future.” As an example, the winner of the overall competition competition went as a “luxury plumbing studio.”
Guests who wanted to enter the costume competition posed for photos on the second floor of the elaborate theater, and winners were announced at 12:30 am. Guests then danced till the wee hours to the tunes of dj mapquest.
And yes, if you noticed that the theme of the party does seem totally up our alley, Luxury Listings was a media sponsor of the event along with the Architect’s Newspaper.
