You have to be more than a “Slumdog Millionaire” to buy Danny Boyle’s Chelsea co-op

Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle has listed a light-filled apartment in Chelsea for $2.15 million, according to StreetEasy records. Well, to be completely precise, the apartment is actually in his daughter, Caitlin’s, name. Boyle senior bought it in 2010 for $1.705 million and transferred it to her in 2014. He reportedly paid all cash.

Doyle is best known for directing films like “Slumdog, Millionaire” and “Trainspotting,” as well as serving as the artistic director for the 2012 London Olympic Games. He has been nominated for twelve Academy Awards and has won eight, including Best Director. His daughter Caitlin was a student at Parson’s the New School for Design when Boyle bought the apartment. The Wall Street Journal reported in 2013 that she was working for Condé Nast, but it is unclear where she is working now.

The lovely triplex apartment at 334 West 19th Street has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a third floor with a wall of double-paned glass windows and a 200 square-foot terrace.
