Pat Kiernan, the newscaster from New York 1 who is perhaps best known for reading the newspaper on live TV as part of his “In the Papers” feature, has sold an apartment he owns with his wife Dawn at 171 North Street in Williamsburg for $1.055 million, according to city records. The buyers are Xavier Plewa and Lauren Lewis.

Kiernan has been the morning news anchor on NY1 since 1997. He made headlines in 2010 (instead of just reading them), when he purchased a townhouse in Williamsburg for $2.03 million, which was at the time the most expensive purchase of a single family home in the neighborhood. Business must have been good back then, because Kiernan also picked up this apartment at 171 North Street in 2013 for $860,000.

The 1,200-square-foot pad is a duplex and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
