Remember that old Coca Cola ad telling you to “have a Coke and a smile?”
Well now, you might want to take that slogan literally; the iconic soda brand has just released a new bottle that will take a selfie of you while you drink.
The brainchild of Coca-Cola Israel, the “selfie bottle” was created for the Coca-Cola Summer Love campaign, Israel’s largest outdoor brand event. The bottle is fashioned with a camera at the base and a sensor that triggers a picture to be taken when the bottle is tilted on a 70-degree angle. And apparently the kids really like it; there are mid-drink selfies all over social media.
In a statement, the firm said, “Users tag themselves and their friends in photos on Coca-Cola’s social media assets. It really does the trick and makes the partygoers more present and active during the event, knowing they can share their special moments just by drinking.”
Think of it as the selfie-stick that stirs the drink. Just be sure not to get snapped mid-burp. [BI]
