Somehow, we don’t think Anna Wintour would approve of this.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, the former director of Special Events at Vogue, will help plan Donald Trump’s inauguration events, according to Page Six. Wolkoff helped plan the Met Gala during her time at Vogue, as well as other major events at the magazine and later moved to run fashion week’s expansion to Lincoln Center.

Nicknamed “General Winston” by Wintour (and yes, that’s Winston as in Harry Winston), Wolkoff is a long time friend of Melania’s and was spotted hanging around Trump Tower this week with Tom Barrack, head of Trump’s inaugural committee. She is rumored to be a senior advisor to Barrack, and heads up the creative agency SWW Creative.

The fashion industry has generally not been supportive of Trump’s presidential campaign; Hillary Clinton was the first candidate Vogue ever endorsed and just last week designer Sophie Theallet, who has dressed Michelle Obama, made an announcement that she would refuse to dress Melania. [Page Six]
