The niece of President George W. Bush and the son of luxury clothing designer Ralph Lauren bought celebrated photographer Annie Leibovitz’s West Village home.
Lauren Bush Lauren, who heads up a charity that feeds children worldwide, and her husband David Lauren, an executive at his father’s company, bought the three-townhouse spread totaling 10,200 square feet for $28.5 million in early January, according to the New York Post. The buyers’ identity was masked in public records through limited liability corporations.
The property was originally listed with Maria and Joanna Pashby and Louis Buckworth for nearly $30 million, as The Real Deal previously reported. Sharon Bush, a broker for Corcoran and Bush-Lauren’s mother, helped represent her daughter in the sale, according to the Post.
The home consists of 755 and 757 Greenwich Street, as well as 311 West 11th Street and has seven bathrooms, five baths and a whopping 13 fireplaces, according to the Post. Leibovitz combined the townhouses in 2002 after purchasing the Greenwich Street homes for $4.2 million and the West 11th street home for $1.9 million in 2003. [NYP] – Angela Hunt
