Rock star and Blondie front woman Debbie Harry has nabbed herself a centuries old property in Roxbury, Connecticut, for $785,000.
According to Realtor.com, the four bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home was built in 1795 and has been “beautifully maintained.”
The 2,685-square-foot house sits on almost three-and-a-half acres of land and comes with a chef’s kitchen with Carrara marble countertops, wood-beamed ceilings, wide-plank wood floors, a new wood-shingle roof, restored windows, and French doors, which open up to a front patio. On the main floor is the master bedroom with a sitting room, fireplace and master bath. Upstairs are three additional bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Jill Sloane, of Halsted had the listing, and according to the New York Post, she also sold Harry a neighboring property last year for $185,000.
Earlier this week, Harry — along with the likes of Parker Posey and Rose McGowan — made an appearance at CHARLIEWOOD, a multi-disciplinary new show from Paris-based artist Charlie le Mindu. [Realtor.com]
