$18M Telluride penthouse heads to auction without reserve

After four years on the market, a Telluride penthouse apartment with an asking price of $18 million is turning to the auction block next month, and you’d better grab your wallet — it will be selling to the highest bidder and there’s no reserve.

300 Elks Park is a 6,235-square-foot, full-floor penthouse in the Colorado ski town, and it comes with four bedrooms, four bathrooms and all kinds of mountain views. Plus there’s an 1,100-square-foot great room, a theater room, a billiards room, three outdoor decks, seven parking spaces in underground garage, and, rather more fabulously, limestone flooring reclaimed from European castles.

“300 Elks Park is one of the finest ski properties in all of Colorado,” said Michael Wentworth of Telluride & Mountain Village Properties in a press release. “Not only because it’s a stone’s throw from some of the state’s best terrain, fishing, hiking, biking, and world-class festivals and arts, but also because it’s located in the center of historic and beautiful Telluride.”

It is one of 17 properties from around the world Concierge Auctions will be selling on December 20th in New York City.
