Chef Dan Kluger, best known for being the executive chef at ABC Kitchen and ABC Cocina, will debut his first solo restaurant tomorrow night in Greenwich Village.

Loring Place — named for the street Kluger’s late father grew up on in the Bronx — at 21 West 8th Street, will be rooted in American cuisine, inspired by the produce from the greenmarkets, and with a focus on seasonal dishes.

Each dish at Loring Place is made with sharing in mind, from vegetable-forward small plates like crispy, spiced cauliflower with Meyer lemon jam and chilies, or wood grilled broccoli with orange, kohlrabi and pistachio-mint dressing, to pizza made from house-milled flour and topped with a seasonal ingredients, and locally sourced proteins finished on the restaurant’s wood-burning grill.

“We want the dining experience to be fun and convivial,” explained Kluger in a press release, “This is meant to be a restaurant for all occasions, and the menu is designed to encourage that.”
