Town Residential hopes to throw the Met Gala of holiday parties

The brokerage sent out a six-page guide instructing guests how to dress for their holiday party.

In an unexpected twist of events, Town Residential’s holiday party is aiming for something more couture.

The brokerage sent out a follow up to the invite for their party tonight at Tavern on the Green that includes a six-page long list instructing guests where to get their hair, makeup, nails and shoe shining done. It also tells guests where to buy the best clothes, pocket squares and ties in New York City. Not even Anna Wintour is this fussy.

“We have received numerous requests about attire for the evening, and would like to share that it is high fashion, black tie optional,” a representative for the brokerage wrote. “To help you prepare, we have included a guide to the city’s top resources, prepared by Luxury Attaché.”

If you were invited, it would behoove you to know what places made the list: the Warren Tricomi salon at the Plaza Hotel, John Allan’s premier men’s grooming club between Madison and Park Avenue, every MAC makeup store in Manhattan, the Essie nail salon also located between Madison and Park Avenue, Intermix clothing store on 5th Avenue, John Varvatos at 215 Bowery, Barney’s on Madison Avenue and The Leather Spa at 55 West 55th Street, just to name a few.

Looks like Town brokers received some nice commission checks this year.

Still, we are betting against CEO Andrew Heiberger showing up in black tie. But maybe Town is onto something? Will this be real estate’s first high fashion blowout? Is taking tequila shots in John Varvatos really an improvement? Check out their guide below for yourself.
