Fashion designer Kobi Halperin has just gone shopping and nabbed himself a brand new pad at Tribeca’s 443 Greenwich Street.

Halperin and his wife Sagit paid $6.1 million for a three-bedroom spread at the landmarked condo building, city records show. The 2,644-square-foot first-floor apartment was listed for $7.9 million.

The listing doesn’t offer particularly much in terms of information, but luckily LLNYC got a peek inside the building recently for our Big Open House series. Halperin can expect two exposures, and has direct, key-locked elevator access, wide plank white-oak floors, and reclaimed wood galore. Plus access to amenities like a central garden, an underground parking garage, a 75-foot lap pool, a children’s playroom, a fitness center, and a climate controlled wine cellar.

“We’re absolutely thrilled that Kobi, a dear friend and a most important and talented fashion designer, has chosen to make his home at 443 Greenwich,” said Nathan Berman, principal of MetroLoft, one of the building’s developers.

The remaining apartments in the 53-unit building run from a 1,374-square-foot two-bedroom for $4 million — which is right next door to the Halperin’s new unit — up to a $55 million penthouse.
