Chelsea’s “Celebrity Mansion” hits the market asking $20M

A celebrity favorite is up for grabs in Chelsea. Dubbed the “celebrity mansion,” the town house  at 436 West 20th Street, between Ninth and Tenth avenues, has hit the market asking $19.7 million. At various times the historic house has been home to celebrities including Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Olivier Sarkozy, Courtney Love, Jason Statham, Glenn Close and Rosie Huntington.

Set on a quaint residential block steps away the High Line, the 9,000-square-foot, elevator-serviced building is currently set up as a tony, five-unit multifamily building. But we are guessing anyone willing to shell out nearly $20 million for a townhouse is planning to covert it back to a single-family residence.

Robert Burton and Brock Emmetsberger of Cushman & Wakefield has the listing.
