R&B star Aaron Neville and his wife Sarah Friedman have sold their Greenwich Village duplex penthouse apartment at 63 East 9th Street for $2.61 million, according to the New York Post.
Neville has had four Platinum albums over the course of his more-than fifty year career. His first major hit was the single “Tell It Like It Is,” which came out in 1966 and was #2 on the Billboard Top 100 list. Other songs he is known for are “Don’t Know Much,” “All My Life,” and “Everybody Plays the Fool.” With his brothers, he is part of a troop called the Neville Brothers.
The apartment he and Friedman have sold is located at the Randall House, and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms with radiant floors. There’s also a 400-square-foot irrigated and landscaped terrace, Brazilian teak floors and custom closets.
Neville and Friedman paid $1.44 million for the home in 2012. Barry Silverman of Halstead Property had the listing. [NYP]
