Here in New York City, new developments dazzle the masses by offering amenities like electric car charging stations, IMAX theatres, private jets, and wine cellars. But across the pond, in fair London, buildings are just as keen to impress. One such example? The curious “snow cabin” at One Blackfriars — a Thames-side development in the English capital.
According to the Guardian, it is one of several unusual attractions hoping to lure buyers to the tower where residences range from £1.15 million ($1.4 million) to £23 million ($28.1 million). Other amenities include a “rainforest shower experience”, a virtual golf course with a whisky bar, a wine tasting room, a hot stone massage parlor and a 24-hour concierge provided by Harrods.
Over in West London, the K West hotel offers guests a similar experience with its “Snow Paradise”, a cave-like room kept at -15C (5F), with snow pumped into it. Natalia Rakowska, a marketing manager at K West told the Guardian, “It’s like Narnia. You rub your snow into your skin and it feels amazing.” [Guardian]
