After months of rumors, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are officially moving to a new home in DC at 2449 Tracy Pl, NW, according to Washingtonian magazine. The home recently sold on December 22nd for $5.5 million, but Washingtonian could not confirm whether Trump and Kushner were the buyers, or are renting from the new owners.
The home they are buying is 6,870 square feet and has six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. From the photos, it looks cold and impersonal and in need of some of Ivanka’s art. It is also located only two blocks away from the home where the Obamas are reportedly moving post-White House. So that should make for some fun block parties!
Officially, Trump and Kushner do not have roles in the new Trump administration, however, the couple’s participation in high-level meetings has made many concerned that they might be exerting undue influence (this move to DC certainly confirms that impression). Ivanka recently sold a small unit she owns at 502 Park Avenue for $4.1 million, so that should help fund the cost of this move. [Washingtonian]
