Well this is unexpected! After the Four Seasons Restaurant closed with much fanfare (and a couple of angry Instagram posts) this July, the owners Julian Niccolini and Alex von Bidder said that they will be opening a new location of the restaurant at 280 Park Avenue approximately a year from now.
But before they open there, Niccolini and chef Pecko Zantilaveevan will be working on a different project: a pop-up at the famous Brennan’s restaurant in New Orleans.
Considering no one really ever went to the Four Seasons for the food (well, maybe for the giant cotton candy), it’s kind of an odd choice to serve it in one of the most foodie cities in the country. But maybe Niccolini and Zantilaveevan just miss the hustle of a restaurant and can’t wait until next year to get started again.
At any rate, the pop up will be open for only four days, from February 8 to 11. Niccolini will act as host, seating guests and presumably chatting with them, while Zantilaveevan will preview dishes that will be served at the new restaurant. [Grubstreet]
