Movie star Christian Slater sold a rather modest condo he owned at 445 West 54th Street for $1.1 million, according to city records.
Slater purchased the Hells Kitchen apartment in 2005 for $882,500. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, south-facing windows, an “amazing amount” of closet space and a newly-renovated kitchen. Judging from the listing photos, it doesn’t seem like Slater spends much time in the apartment because it’s rather sparsely furnished.
Slater was born and raised in New York City. He has starred in a number of hit films, including “Heathers,” “Interview with a Vampire” and “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.” Most recently, he plays the title character on USA’s “Mr. Robot,” and he received a Golden Globe Award for his performance in 2015. At this year’s Golden Globes, he made headlines for a slightly different reason; his confused facial reactions to Tom Hiddleston’s odd, self-congratulatory speech went viral.
