We don’t know why Andy Warhol was wandering around backstage at Madison Square Garden on March 31, 1985, but we are so glad he was.
Looking confused, typically disheveled and slightly bemused, Warhol bumbled into an off stage showdown between Mr. T and Hulk Hogan during WrestleMania’s debut event “The War To Settle The Score.” Quickly spotted by legendary professional wrestling commentator Gene Okerlund, Warhol is then ushered up to the cameras for an interview.
“Andy Warhol, your impression of what just went on here?” Okerlund says. “I’m speechless,” Warhol replies, looking just that.
