LLNYC's look at listings:
After a brief respite, a unit at the swanky Plaza Hotel has just returned to the market. The 4,665-square-foot pad "mansion 201" is still asking just under $19 million. It was previously asking $22.5 million. We're not entirely sure how the pad has earned the moniker of "mansion," as opposed to simply a unit number, but it certainly adds a little grandeur.
The home's current owner is 201 Plaza Partners, LLC. They paid a little under $17.3 million for the spread in May 2015.
According to the listing, the home comes with four bedrooms, private elevator access, a Bang & Olufsen audio-visual system, antique French Oak flooring, a custom eat-in kitchen with stone countertops and a Mosaic Calcutta marble backsplash, soundproof windows and views of Central Park. There's also access to all of the Plaza's amenities, which include room service, maid service and access to a concierge.
The Plaza building is split up into hotel rooms and residences but there's the occasional lucky resident that manages to use the hotel as their residence.
