LLNYC's look at listings:
Alison Cayne, daughter of former Bear Stearns CEO James Cayne, has re-listed her townhouse at 10 East 75th Street for $35 million, according to city records.
Cayne currently runs Haven’s Kitchen, a cooking school and café in Chelsea. Her father, James Cayne, ran Bear Stearns until he sold his stake in the company for $61 million in 2008. He was named one of the top 25 people to blame for the crisis by Time magazine.
Cayne used to be married to hedge funder Jack Schneider, and she purchased this townhouse from him during their divorce for $14 million. The couple paid $8.25 million for the home in 2002. Cayne had originally listed the home for sale in 2015 for $38.5 million. According to a blog post on One King’s Lane, Cayne currently lives in another beautiful townhouse in the West Village.
According to the property’s listing, it was built in the 1920’s and totally redone in 2002 by the architect Peter Pennoyer and designer Victoria Hagan. The home is more than 10,000 square feet, with six bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms, and comes with a roof deck, a Crestron smart home system and a “top of the line” security system.
