LLNYC's look at listings:
This Soho spread looks more like a treehouse than a co-op on the cobble-stoned Greene Street, but it has us reaching for our wallet... although we're a few bucks short of its $16 million asking price.
The owner is one Betty Lou Hudson, according to city records. And while we don't know much about Ms. Hudson, we can say with utter certainly that she has an eye for design. And she has an eye for investing too, in 2005 she paid $1.7 million for the place.
The three-bedroom pad is comes with glass and plants galore. There's a steel and glass conservatory, high ceilings, charred-wood panels reclaimed from the roof, a reflecting pool with a covered patio, a steel stairway with light reflecting glass disks embedded in the treads, and multiple lush terraces.
Abigail Agranat, Steve Halprin and Jan Hashey of Douglas Elliman have the listing.
