LLNYC's look at listings:
If you think this Tribeca pad looks familiar, you're right. It's part of a townhouse that hit the market earlier this year. The entire house is asking $23.5 million, but now you can nab this one of its two units for a pinch under $17 million.
For a time the six-bedroom spread belonged to Gwyneth Paltrow, along with her now ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. They bought it in 2005 for $7.9 million, and sold it in 2009 — the same year they dropped $5.1 million on their now-sold spread at 416 Washington Street — for $13.6 million, netting them almost $6 million profit.
Paltrow and Martin used “Orchard House, LLC” for the purchase, according to public records.
The building's smaller ground floor unit has also hit the market individually, it's asking $6.5 million.
David Kornmeier of Brown Harris Stevens has the listing.
