LLNYC's look at listings:
212 Fifth Avenue is one of our favorite buildings here at LLNYC.
This four bedroom spread is asking $17.1 million, and it comes with oversized windows, three exposures and interiors by Pembrooke & Ives.
Last November, LLNYC reported that the building was using two coveted symbols of the “true” Manhattanite – the 212 area code and the Fifth Avenue address — to drum up sales.
“It is the ultimate New York address. You can’t make that up. It has incredible appeal to it,” Shlomi Reuveni, managing director of TOWN New Development, who is marketing the project told LLNYC at the time. “I can’t say that people buy because of the address, but it adds a certain cache.”
The developers of the building recently ditched Town Residential -- who were handling the building's marketings -- and now Sotheby’s International Realty have the gig.
Earlier this year, a unit on the building's 19th floor went into contact for a little below $29 million.
Brad Ingalls, Mara Flash Blum, Nikki Field and Kevin B Brown of Sotheby's International Realty have the listing.
