LLNYC's look at listings:
The owner of this Gramercy Park Hotel penthouse is poised to take a serious loss.
The three-bedroom spread, that was bought for $22 million in 2011, is trying the market again for just under $9 million. City records show it's owned by Mynni Ehf — Icelandic for “Mouth Ltd.” — and the deed was signed by Eyjólfur Gunnarsson, an investor.
The duplex has had quite the storied history. It was previously owned by Icelandic businessman and convicted fraudster Jon Asgeir Johannesson and his wife Ingibjorg Palmadottir. During their tenure, the couple -- who owned another unit in the building that they rented out -- were sued by a former tenant for installing cheap Ikea furniture in the kitchen, and for dropping chicken wings from their penthouse balcony.
Corcoran has the listing.
