770 Park Avenue #PHA Upper East Side, New York New York 10021

LLNYC's look at listings:

The elegant Park Avenue penthouse of real estate and private equity executive Jim Sowell has hit the market asking $15 million.

The founder and principal of Sowell & Company paid $12 million for the eight-room co-op, located at 770 Park Avenue, back in 2008. But now, he is bidding adieu to the gracious Rosario Candela-designed three bedroom.

Highlights include: French doors, wrap-around terraces (plural!), a couple of slivers of Central Park, a private landing, a wood-burning fireplace.

With terraces to the north, east and west, a formal dining room, library, and an entrance gallery, we’re guessing whoever picks up Sowell’s slice of Manhattan will be someone who loves to entertain.

A separate staff room is also included in the sale, which is being handled by Diana Mulqueen of Douglas Elliman and Serena Boardman of Sotheby's International Realty. -- Christoper Cameron
